About

About this workshop

Hi all! I'm Ryan at @thebreathmanifest, a certified breathwork and sound facilitator, and I'd love to invite you to a conscious connected breathwork and sound bath journey.

I host these in my home for a small group, and keeping it small is deliberate — it means there's room for everyone to be properly met, and for the group to actually connect rather than just share a room for two hours.

Whether you're seeking clarity, emotional release, deeper connection, or simply a space to breathe, this session offers a powerful, heart-opening experience in a safe and affirming space where we'll practice conscious connected breathwork and connect as a community. It's a way of tapping into an altered state of consciousness that can be profound and deeply healing, and that tends to bring a real sense of connection both to yourself and to the people around you.

Flow

What to expect

  1. A grounding introduction to Conscious Connected Breathwork

  2. Connecting partner exercises and somatic movement

  3. Visualisation meditation

  4. A guided Conscious Connected Breathwork journey to help you release what no longer serves you, in a space held with care and intention

  5. A powerful sound healing immersion, using handmade traditional bowls from the Himalayas, where I trained

  6. Tea, dark chocolate, oracle cards, plus an optional sharing circle and time to connect with like-minded souls

The theme of this session is light, and it's a personal one for me. Diwali falls on this Sunday, and growing up it was always the diya that stayed with me. Where are you dimming your light, and how can you show up, be visible, and take space where you sometimes feel anonymous? We'll be lighting candles together, and the session will be about what keeps your own flame going through the winter, what tends to blow it out, and how you protect it without shutting everything else away. You don't need any connection to Diwali to come, this is an open room and everyone is welcome!

This is a safe, inclusive space for LGBTQ+ communities, allies and minority groups to be seen, supported and empowered through the breath. The event is open to all.

It's also a space to connect with other like-minded, conscious people, should you be open to building meaningful connections.

No previous breathwork or sound experience is necessary. Everyone is welcome.

Stories

What people say

I started attending Ryan's sessions as he offered me the opportunity to introduce more intentional restorative self care into my life. Ryan's approach to breath-work is calming and centred, grounded in a meditative and soothing practice. I would highly recommend him to anyone who's aiming to focus on introducing balance and serenity to their daily routine.

Frequently asked

Questions about this event

What actually happens at one of these workshops? +

You arrive, settle in, and we open with a short welcome, introductions and intention setting, so you know exactly what to expect. Then comes the main breathwork journey, guided by me and accompanied by music, ending with sound healing: traditional Indian sound bowls played live as your system settles. We close gently with an optional sharing circle, tea, dark chocolate and oracle cards. Every event is a little different, but you'll leave feeling clearer and lighter than you arrived. Events typically run 2 to 3 hours.

What is Conscious Connected Breathwork? +

A guided practice where you breathe in a continuous, circular rhythm, with no pause between the inhale and exhale. Done for a sustained period, it shifts your nervous system out of its everyday state and gives the body a chance to release stress it's been holding.

What are the benefits of conscious connected breathwork? +

Everyone comes to breathwork with different intentions. The most common: releasing stress and tension the body has been holding. People often feel emotional release and a sense of lightness, mental clarity and quieter thoughts, better sleep in the days that follow, and a deeper connection to their own body.

For some it's deeply relaxing, for others it can feel emotionally intense. It's important to come in with no expectations and allow the breath to take you where you need to go. No session is ever the same, and I'm there to guide you through whatever comes up, every step of the way.

I've never done breathwork before. Can I come? +

Please do. Over 50% of attendees at any given event are first-timers, and the practice needs no experience at all. Everything is explained before we start, and I will be supporting each of you throughout.

Is it safe? Is there anyone this isn't suitable for? +

For most people, yes, completely. But conscious connected breathwork is an active practice, and it isn't suitable for everyone. If you are pregnant, have epilepsy, a heart condition, severe asthma, unmedicated high blood pressure, a recent surgery, or a history of certain mental health conditions such as psychosis or bipolar disorder, please get in touch before booking. These contraindications don't always mean you can't participate. In many cases we can adapt the practice or find a gentler alternative. If you're unsure about a medical condition, please check with your doctor first.

What might I experience during the session? +

Everyone's different. People can experience waves of emotion, deep relaxation, vivid imagery, or simply a quiet mind. Physical sensations can include tingling in the hands, feet and face. Occasionally, hands can temporarily cramp or stiffen. It's a normal response to the breathing, it passes, and I'll guide you through it if it happens. Whatever comes up, nothing is wrong. Your body is doing exactly what it needs to do, and you're in a room where all of it is welcome.

Will I have to share or talk in front of the group? +

Never. There's usually space to share at the end because many people want to, but it's always an invitation, not an expectation. Coming in and focusing on your own practice while saying nothing at all is a complete experience. Everything that happens at the event is treated with the utmost confidentiality.

Can I come on my own? +

Most people do. My events have a funny way of turning strangers into familiar faces by the end of the evening. Come alone, come with a friend, either works. If you come with a friend, two tickets are £60 — 15% off.

What should I wear and bring? +

Comfortable, loose clothing you can breathe and move around in. Mats, blankets and everything else are provided, so just bring water and yourself. Layers are a good idea, as your body temperature can shift during the practice.

Should I eat beforehand? +

Have a light meal two to three hours before, and avoid eating in the final hour. Breathing deeply on a full stomach is harder work than it needs to be.

Tell me about the sound healing part? +

Traditional Indian sound bowls, played live while you rest after the breathwork. You lie back, do nothing, and let the sound and vibrations wash over you. It's the most restful part of the event, allowing you to fully ground and settle.

What are the benefits of sound healing? +

The vibrations help settle your nervous system into a deep state of rest. People tell me they sleep better that night, feel less anxious, and notice the calm lasting for days afterwards. Coming straight after breathwork, it also gives your system time to absorb the work before you head back into the real world.

What if I can no longer make it? +

Tickets are non-refundable, but they're fully transferable: with at least 48 hours' notice you can move to a future event, and you're welcome to send a friend in your place at any time.

Who comes to these events? +

Everyone: all ages, backgrounds and experience levels, from complete beginners to regular breathers. My events are inclusive, welcoming spaces, and I'm proud that people from the LGBTQ+ community and beyond consistently describe them as somewhere they feel safe to fully let go. Whoever you are, you are welcome.
